Dr. Amit Joshi
Amit received his PhD from Dr. Miriam Greenberg’s lab at Wayne State University in Detroit. He obtained post-doctoral training in Dr. William Prinz’s lab at National Institutes of Health in Bethesda and Dr. Sarah Cohen’s lab at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. During postdoc he discovered novel family of ER membrane shaping proteins involved in biogenesis of peroxisomes and lipid droplets. He joined UTK in January 2021.
